History
Hi, I'm Kathy from Gift of the gab party shop.
In 2003 I was faced with going back to work after taking time off from nursing to raise my two daughters.
One day I was sitting at the park with a friend discussing how we wished we had a fun job, something we could look forward to each day and still be there for our children.
I loved creating magical birthdays for my daughters and my friends were always amazed by the amount of effort and enthusiasm that goes into everything I do.
So, I started Gift of the Gab Party shop working from a small space at home, I moved into my daughter's bedroom, then into my husband's TV room.
The family was not happy as I had taken over the whole house!
I decided it was time for a shop. And that was it! I couldn’t make it happen quick enough, I couldn’t sleep at night as my mind was racing with all the possibilities and ideas to bring my dream to life.
I look forward to every day and love what I do and never think of it as work, just my passion.
My eldest Daughter Melanie has also joined the business after leaving highschool and has worked along side me since.

Delivery Information
We offer Cairns and surrounding suburbs including beaches, Port Douglas and tablelands.
Cairns and beaches area only on Saturdays for other areas please call to discuss.
We do except same day delivery if ordered before 12pm, if ordered after this time we will do our best and if we cannot deliver we will deliver the next day except Sundays and public holidays.
Port Douglas, Gordonvale, Tablelands is sent by courier Monday to Friday we will contact you with freight charges to these areas.
Interstate Gift basket Delivery via Australia post or Fastway cost to be advised please email or call us for a price.
We can’t guarantee a specific time for delivery, if it needs to be there at a certain time please call us to discuss.
